Can you remember what it felt like? Can you remember a time when you felt so free inside of your body, so joyfully alive, that you radiated? I think we all start out this way, knowing that our bodies are instruments to live in and love. But somewhere along the way, for many of us, our bodies become our enemies. They become something we need to control, to manipulate, to punish.
I can remember what it felt like to confidently climb rocks and trees, to play freely, without the self-conscious concern about how I looked. I also remember so many moments, large and small, when it slipped away and was replaced by shame. For decades this was how I lived in my body. I believed that my worth was determined by a number on a scale, by a reflection in the mirror. Until one day I woke up.
Through music, art, and movement, I re-built my relationship with my body. I re-discovered my playful inner child who wanted to be FREEEEEE! I finger painted, I danced, and I sang until I remembered that little girl I once was.
I know that you have struggled to find a sense of self worth in a world that constantly tells you all the ways you are not worthy. I know the longing in your heart for a different kind of relationship with your body. If you are craving a change, join me for the BE KIND to your Body e-course.
In this self study e-class, you will spend six weeks playfully exploring your relationships with your body and yourself. Each week you will receive two fun assignments by email. These assignments are designed to bust open those negative self image loops we get stuck in so we can create new pathways to self love! You can connect with Joyelle via email at any point during the class to discuss issues that come up, and you receive a complimentary 30 minute Skype session with Joyelle to use at your convenience. By the end of class, you will have the tools to change the way you look at yourself, so that you can have a more loving relationship with the mirror.
"I didn't expect to feel so comforted hearing you share your stories and feelings. I enjoyed going deep, doing the creative projects and assignments and definitely feel that it had a positive impact on me overall. I guess I didn't expect to experience a shift in my perspective. It made me feel like yes, I need to be kinder to myself." - Jennifer
